Four ways to publish your way into the corridor

Burquitlam.Media is a local content studio for businesses that serve the Burquitlam–Lougheed corridor. We turn the work you already do into articles, short videos, photo stories and Google Business Profile posts that answer the questions your future customers are typing into their phones, from a Clarke Road condo or a townhouse off Como Lake Avenue. You get content that is specific, accurate and recognisably yours, and a clear way to tell whether it is working.

We are a marketing and content business, not a contractor. Our job is the words, pictures and planning around your trade or shop; the actual plumbing, painting, cleaning or haircuts stay with you.

Why content, and why this corridor

Content works best where many people are new to an area and actively looking for help. That describes Burquitlam right now. The City of Coquitlam's Burquitlam-Lougheed Neighbourhood Plan steers growth toward the SkyTrain stations and the North Road / Clarke Road corridor, with the tallest buildings clustered there and heights stepping down further out. Provincial Transit Oriented Areas rules, added in 2023/24, open up even more room to build near the stations.

Every new household that moves in arrives without a dentist, a plumber, a dry cleaner or a favourite coffee spot. They search, they read, they look at photos, and they ask neighbours in building chat groups. A business that has already published useful, local answers is the one they find.

There is also a practical reason. Ads stop the day you stop paying. A well-made page explaining, say, what to check before hiring a painter for a new strata unit can keep earning attention long after the invoice for writing it has been paid.

What we make

We keep the service list short on purpose, because four things done well beat a dozen done thinly:

The services overview explains how to choose between them if you are not sure where to start.

A worked example you can check

Here is the arithmetic we use before recommending any piece of content. Suppose you run a small renovation company and your average bathroom refresh is worth $6,500 with a 30% close rate on qualified enquiries.

Step Number
Enquiries a strong local page brings per month 2
Enquiries over 12 months 24
Jobs won at a 30% close rate 7.2 on average
Revenue from those jobs about $46,800

Even if the page performs at a quarter of that, you are looking at roughly $11,700 in work from a single piece. Now run the same sum with your own job value and close rate. If the answer is tiny, content is the wrong tool for that service, and we will say so.

How we work with you

We start by listening for the stories you tell without thinking: the strange leak behind a fridge in a new tower, the café regular who started ordering for her whole office, the move-out clean that saved someone's damage deposit. Those stories are your edge, because no national competitor can copy them.

Then we plan a rhythm you can sustain. For most owners that is one substantial article a month, a few short clips and a weekly profile post. You approve every piece before it goes live, and you own everything we make.

Our about page explains who leads the work, and results from our HVAC work shows what the same publishing discipline has achieved elsewhere in BC.

Who is behind it

Burquitlam.Media is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, who has more than 17 years of digital marketing experience and has built over 150 live HVAC websites. Because Vancouver is close by, the corridor is familiar ground rather than a dot on a map.

The parent brand for our trades work is Trades.Agency. If you also want a full agency engagement covering websites and paid campaigns for this corridor, our sister site Burquitlam.Agency handles that side.

Where we work

We cover the whole corridor: the Coquitlam side from North Road east to Blue Mountain Street, and the Burnaby side around Lougheed Town Centre. Many clients also take work in Port Moody, New Westminster, Austin Heights and Maillardville. Our areas page walks through each part and what it means for your content.

Start with one question

If you are curious but not ready to commit, start small. Pick the question customers ask you most often and tell us how you usually answer it. We will show you how that answer could become a page, a clip and a profile post. Check the pricing page for plan details, read the FAQ, or go straight to the contact page. Call, text or email and you will reach the strategist who would plan your content.

How it works

  1. Send us what you already have

Your website address, your Google listing, a handful of recent job photos and the five questions customers ask most. That is enough raw material for a first read.

  2. Get a plan you can check

We sketch the first ninety days of articles, clips and profile posts, with who does what, how long each piece takes and the monthly price in writing.

  3. Talk to the person who planned it

No intake script and no junior rep relaying messages. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Burquitlam.Media?

It is a Canadian content marketing service for local businesses in the Burquitlam–Lougheed corridor. The studio sits inside the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, run from a Vancouver head office under Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Do you do any trade work yourselves?

No. We write, film, edit and publish marketing content and advise owners on growth. We never install, repair, clean or service anything, and we do not resell your enquiries to other companies.

Which businesses is this for?

Non-HVAC trades such as plumbers, electricians, painters, renovators and cleaners, plus local shops, clinics, studios and restaurants. Heating and cooling companies are better served by the HVAC.Agency side of our group.

Is content marketing worth it for a small business?

It is when each piece answers a question your customers really ask and lives somewhere they will find it. One honest page about a common job can keep bringing calls for years, which is rarely true of a paid ad.

What does it cost?

Our content runs on Trades.Agency plans, the smallest of which is $1,999 monthly with no term, or $1,499 monthly if you pay for the year; GST of 5% is added. Eligible trades owners can have a first 30-minute talk with us at no charge.

How soon will I see anything?

You will see published work within the first few weeks. Search traffic from new pages usually builds over three to six months, while profile posts and clips can start drawing calls sooner.
